Meet the Masters

  • Supplies will be collected from the counter in the Multi-Purpose Room.  Your supplies will be labeled with the name of the artist and your teacher.  Please return all supplies to the same location after completing your project.  Place completed artwork also on the counter in the Multi-Purpose Room. Makes sure the finished projects are labeled with your teacher's name.

  • Don’t forget that you only have an hour in most classrooms for the entire session, so be sure to look over the ‘Introducing’ section with the PowerPoint presentation and choose the parts you want to focus on.  Keep the ‘Introducing’ section under 15 minutes to allow plenty of time for the project!

  • PowerPoint presentations for all artists will be accessed in the classroom on the school server. The teacher should do this, but if she/he has difficulty finding the presentation, here are directions:

What is Meet The Masters?

  • Meet The Masters (MTM) is an interactive, multi-faceted approach to teaching children about art history, theories of color and techniques, and creativity!

  • MTM is a program that our PTO has purchased to supplement the education of out students as art education is not provided by the district for all grades.  Studies have shown that art education is vital in helping motor skills, overall language development, decision making, and visual learning.

  • MTM is created by professional art teachers and has been used by thousands of schools across the United States for more than 30 years.

  • More information about the program is available here!
