We miss all our Husky Pup students and families and look forward to seeing you in August!

During the school year, look for a PTO Monday Memo each week with important information on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and sign-up links. This is your go-to spot for all the latest info in one place. The emails will come from "Northern Hills Elementary" and are pushed out to all currently enrolled students at the email addresses entered for each student in the Infinite Campus portal; no special sign-up or subscription required.
Edmond Public Schools has implemented text messaging
service for parents. Text messaging allows EPS to deliver
important information about school closings, safety alerts,
bus announcements and more via SMS text messaging
through the School Messenger system-the same system
currently being used to send automated phone calls. The
process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete.
To receive these messages, you must OPT-IN to the messaging service. Please text "Opt in" (NO HYPHEN) to 67587. By sending the correct message of “Opt in” (NO HYPHEN) you will get this message back: “You’re registered 4 SchoolMessenger notifications. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. (etc)”.

The district has launched an official mobile app designed
to enable parents, staff, students and the broader community
to stay informed and up-to-date on important issues,
information and activities underway within the school community.
The free app is available for download in the Apple and Android
app stores by searching for Edmond Public Schools.

Proposed Bylaw Amendment
To go along with the unusual year ahead and to accommodate husky pup families that may be choosing Virtual Edmond for all or part of the year but still want to be plugged into their neighborhood school community, PTO Exec is proposing the following bylaw amendment on membership for the 2020-2021 school year:
Move to amend Article V to allow parents/guardians of children who are enrolled in Virtual Edmond to participate in Northern Hills PTO when NH is their neighborhood school.
Proposed new Article V(a):"The members of the organization shall consist of all parents, grandparents, or guardians of children either enrolled and attending Northern Hills Elementary School or attending Virtual Edmond whose neighborhood school is Northern Hills as well as all administrators and teachers of the school's faculty."
