EPS Student Technology Protection Plan
for Second Semester
With the continuing need for EPS elementary students to take district devices home, the Student Technology Protection Plan for the second semester is open for purchase. The plan purchased for the first semester has expired. The Edmond Public Schools Student Technology Protection Plan (STPP) has been established to give parents the option to purchase protection covering the repair or replacement costs of the technology package. The cost for the protection plan for each semester is $12.50 per student. Families are strongly encouraged but not required to participate in this voluntary program. Payments for the protection plan can be made online via the InTouch payment system through Friday, January 15, 2021. The plan is effective from the date of purchase through the last day of school.
For additional technology information, please visit our Technology/Support page on the district website.

Attention Homeroom Parents
If you are a homeroom parent for your student’s classroom, please check in with your teacher and see if there is anything you or PTO can do to help support them. Also, send out communication to your classroom families with Teacher Favorites in case they would like to send a little something as appreciation or as a pick-me-up for their student’s teacher. Teachers and staff need to feel our support more than ever right now in these uncertain times. As you know, things are changing almost daily, so please check your email in the coming weeks for details on Friendship Parties in February.
If you have any questions, reach out to Hannah Hawkins at homeroomparents@northernhillspto.com.
Counselor's Corner 2021
Dear Northern Hills Family,
Hope you all had a wonderful break and are ready to start our second semester! We are certainly learning to live with the words ‘change’ and ‘flexibility’!
January Guidance Lessons are based on what is resiliency, and what we can do to become resilient! Fifth and Fourth graders will learn about Rosie Revere Engineer and when and how to try again. PK - Third graders are also having lessons on how to be resilient, learning the size of our problem and how to to solve it ourselves, or depending on the size of the problem, get help from adults. We also talk about our reactions to problems and situations and how they can affect our perspective.
During each lesson, as students talk about things going on, we address their concerns such as: bully behavior, friendship struggles and so much more. We look forward to this second semester working with your children.
If there have been any changes in your home that have affected your child/children, we are here to help. Please feel free to contact one of us.
Wishing you all well,
Tracy Hill M.Ed. 726-3603
Addie Reutter M.Ed. 726-3648

PTO Monday Memo Emails
During the school year, look for a PTO Monday Memo each week with important information on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and sign-up links. This is your go-to spot for all the latest info in one place. The emails will come from "Northern Hills Elementary" and are pushed out to all currently enrolled students at the email addresses entered for each student in the Infinite Campus portal; no special sign-up or subscription required.
Text Messaging
Edmond Public Schools has implemented text messaging
service for parents. Text messaging allows EPS to deliver
important information about school closings, safety alerts,
bus announcements and more via SMS text messaging
through the School Messenger system-the same system
currently being used to send automated phone calls. The
process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete.
To receive these messages, you must OPT-IN to the messaging service. Please text "Opt in" (NO HYPHEN) to 67587. By sending the correct message of “Opt in” (NO HYPHEN) you will get this message back: “You’re registered 4 SchoolMessenger notifications. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. (etc)”.

Mobile App
The district has launched an official mobile app designed
to enable parents, staff, students and the broader community
to stay informed and up-to-date on important issues,
information and activities underway within the school community.
The free app is available for download in the Apple and Android
app stores by searching for Edmond Public Schools.
