Fifth Grade Farewell

In May, our 5th graders will enjoy a fun-filled day of activities as they say good-bye to
Northern Hills and move on to middle school. The day will include matching t-shirts, a
slideshow, a movie with treats, and lunch.
We need your help to provide a memorable last day for our 5 th graders.

Ways you can help:

· Purchase a shirt t-shirt for your child ($15)
· Sponsor a shirt for another student or teacher ($15)
· Make a general donation to increase the fun (amount of your choice)
*General donations will go towards food and activities for the day.

T-shirt orders and donations can be sent to school or made online at northernhillspto.square.site.
All t-shirt orders are due by Friday, April 26.

We are also making a slideshow for the Awards and Recognition Ceremony (date to be
announced soon.) The slideshow will include pictures of the 5th graders as
babies/toddlers/early years, a current picture and through the years at Northern Hills. All
pictures can be sent digitally to 5thgradefarewell@northernhillspto.com. Please include
your child’s name and the grade/year of the photo. Pictures must be received by
Wednesday, May 1 to be considered for the slideshow.

Please contact Sarah Majors, Kristin Simpson or Amanda Fairbairn at
5thgradefarewell@northernhillspto.com if you have any questions.

Kids Playing

 Counselor's Corner

This month, our elementary students will continue to learn about kindness and developing positive friendships. They will also build on their understanding of how they can impact their community with kindness.

Fundraising Parties

It’s time to start thinking about our Fundraising Parties for the summer! Fundraising
Parties are a fun way to raise money for Northern Hills.

Volunteer to Host a Party! - You can gather some friends to host with you too. Your
responsibility is to host your party and cover the costs of the party. If you have friends
hosting with you, they help cover the costs and hosting responsibilities as well.

Think of a Fun Party Theme - Popular themes in the past are grade-level get togethers
before starting the new school year, backyard swim, splash pad, parents night out, party
to learn to make a craft/cook/garden, dinner parties, scavenger hunts, renting out
play/activity facilities for a few hours. Do you have other creative ideas or talents to
teach? Go for it!

Come Up With a Date - Decide on a date that works for you and your other hosts. Notify
President@northernhillspto.com of your theme and date.

How Does Your Party Help Raise Funds for PTO? - Before school is out, we will have
these for sale on our PTO Square site. Watch the Monday Memo and Facebook page
for more info! All the money from the sign ups goes to PTO while you and your hosts
cover the costs of the party itself.

PTO Monday Memo Emails

During the school year, look for a PTO Monday Memo each week with important information on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and sign-up links.  This is your go-to spot for all the latest info in one place.

The emails will come from "Northern Hills Elementary" and are pushed out to all currently enrolled students at the email addresses entered for each student in the Infinite Campus portal; no special sign-up or subscription required.

Mobile App

The district has launched an official mobile app designed

to enable parents, staff, students and the broader community

to stay informed and up-to-date on important issues,

information and activities underway within the school community.

The free app is available for download in the Apple and Android

app stores by searching for Edmond Public Schools.
