-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Music Notes from Mrs. Parkhurst

Our Music classroom needs help from YOU!

We are now gladly accepting donations of any Beanie Babies or old neck-ties for our music classroom curriculum. Your precious 90's Beanie Babies can take on new life as Beat Buddies for our Kindergarten and 1st Grade music classes. Those neckties you've been saving to wear once a year will be repurposed during our folk dance units.

Feel free to send any donations to school in a bag labeled "For Mrs. Parkhurst." Thanks for your support of our classroom!!

Time to start planning
FUN-draising Parties

What is a FUN-draising party?  It’s a parent or teacher hosted festivity where your admission price goes directly to PTO to fund things our school needs.  Historically, each grade level has had parents get together to host a “Going into Kinder, 1st, etc” party.

In addition to grade level parties, groups of parents can get together to host a family party (think Amazing Race, Ninja Warrior, Crafting, or Pelican Bay), a moms’ party, or even a food truck party.  The only limit is your imagination!

Parties can take place anytime after April 17th thru August 13th.

If you’d like to host a FUN-draising party or have questions, please contact Sarah Majors at president@northernhillspto.com by Friday, March 27th.

Tickets for these parties will be available at our Spring Movie night coming up in April!

Pup Pals is off and running but WE NEED YOU! Pup Pals is a group of people who can commit about 30 minutes a week to provide a little extra reading support to some of our Husky Pups. We can work with whatever time frame you are available, our students just need YOU to help encourage them!  There are still more students that would benefit from a Pup Pal one-on-one time.

If interested, please email puppals@northernhillspto.com for more details and let us know when you might be available.

Watch D.O.G.S. Wanted

Ask all your Husky dudes if they can be a Watch DOG during RECESS!

Are you a Husky Pup father, grandfather, uncle, or adult cousin? Then we need you for as little as 1 hour or up to 1 day of your time to walk the halls, give high fives at recess, or just make sure all is well in the building! We'd love your help, and the students love to see our Watch DOGS on patrol! We're happy to work with your schedule!

Please check out the link for SPECIFIC DATES WHERE WATCH DOGS ARE ESPECIALLY NEEDED and get signed up for a shift! Be sure to include your email address so we can send further instructions. Remember- if the dates do not work for you, pick any date and time and email watchdogs@northernhillspto.com  or call directly at 405-726-3605 to volunteer or to get more info!
