Counselor's

Corner Nov. 2019

Dear Northern Hills’ Families,

This first semester of school is flying by so quickly.  Before we know it…it will be time for turkey and dressing!  Thanksgiving is a time when we reflect on how thankful we are for our families and friends.  We are so blessed in many areas of our lives.  I am truly thankful for the opportunity to serve as your child’s school counselor.

This month my guidance lessons will center on being thankful for our families, blessings and our country.  In Guidance we will be discussing what it means to be thankful and sharing our thoughts.  5th Grade parents, look for your child to bring home written papers from our lesson.   I have kept their papers from 3rd grade, so they can see how their thoughts and writing have evolved!

BEDLAM FOOD DRIVE!!!  I will have three barrels representing OU, OSU and UCO in the main foyer.  This food drive will begin on November 1st and end on the 15th.  The food collected will go to the Hope Center.  Support your favorite team this year…it is for a great cause!  So many families depend on the Hope Center.

List of Foods needed:

Canned meats (chicken and tuna), Peanut Butter, Hearty Soups, Canned Fruits, Canned vegetables, Ravioli, Spaghetti and Spaghetti Sauce, Vienna Sausages, Jelly…

Please no perishables or glass.  Pop-Top Easy Open Canned Goods.
